Wedding VR | Video | Photo | Package
Upton House, Poole in Dorset.
Right from the start I could tell this would be no ordinary wedding.
I had a call from the bride to be that had been let down by a photographer –
with just 4 weeks to go there was no time to waste.
I have some regular clients I help when I have time, so a few quick calls and we had a meeting the day after.
We met at the Venue, Upton House, luckily it was a bright and pleasant day.
There we meet the wedding co-ordinator and walked around the main areas and talked through the now Mrs Beadmans ideas and wishes.
Black and white and Sepia was requested to my delight, the house has many charming scenes and rooms with very dark corners – no problem to a pro.
It was really refreshing to work with a bride who a good vision of how the finished wedding photography will look – see more below.
It was really great to have a creative brief – at the end of the 2 hour consultation we had a walk around the grounds
I was checking the sun angles on the day on my iPhone Apps – we knew where would be shadow and sun.
Time to sit down and discuss budgets and timings – we spent a few minutes looking online at what inspires them.
My packages were within their budgets – I wrote in a payment timetable and the contract was signed, deposit paid.
We move on to VR – which is 360 Video seen with a mobile device and Viewer or Headset – which I make for my WoodStudio.Co brand.
It is a new Video Format we have been developing with Google and GoPro to name a few over the last 2 years.
Dont worry about all the geeky stuff – we do that. Highly trained crew but that does not mean it is expensive.
Storytelling with VR is now quite to the point and everyone can be there – those far away with a VR viewer can almost be in the room.
It can be shared from YouTube or made private, shared on Facebook – with a £15 viewer you can really be there – see more HERE
Video can be tricky at a wedding – we have a small and able team running multiple cameras and for our price we get good results.
We cannot be everywhere at once – in this case there were budget limits but we listened to the clients and gave them extra for their money.
We even made a timelapse that we had ready the same day – uploaded the next day for sharing on social media – see it HERE
The Photography I captured that day is among the finest in my 38 year career.
The people were relaxed and warmed to fun and art at the same time so made excellent subjects.
Please feel free to have a look at some highlights of the final gallery here and make up your own mind.
Getting a glowing comment makes all the hard work worth it…
